About John Roberts
Uniquely qualified to write 'Safeguarding the Nation - The Story of the Modern Royal Navy', John Roberts spent over thirty years in the Royal Navy. He went to sea in aircraft carriers, cruisers, frigates and minesweepers serveing in the Far East, the Middle East, Aden, the Radfan and the Gulf. He later served on various Admirals' staffs, and spent ten years in the Ministry of Defence. John has served as Finance Director and Chief Executive of the White Ensign Association and has contributed to various naval magazines and house journals.
