Christmas Eve 1940… Stan proposed to Daisy.

In World War II young men were called up to the Army, including Daisy’s fiancé Stan.
NOT ALL women enlisted immediately. many stayed behind to do the jobs of men.
Daisy also became a voluntary firefighter at night.
