Napoleon’s Paris – Guided Tour

Historian David Buttery is leading a 4-day tour of the French capital in March 2026 entitled ‘Napoleon’s Paris’ on the strength of his Pen & Sword guidebook of the same name. The itinerary includes a walk around central Paris viewing locations connected with the French Revolution and Napoleon along with Les Invalides housing the Emperor’s Tomb and one of the finest military museums in Europe. Other sites include the Palace of Fontainebleau, Malmaison (Napoleon and Josephine’s favourite residence) and Pere Lachaise Cemetery where many heroes of the First French Empire are interred. Buttery has been a Tour Guide for museums, in Paris and for the Waterloo Campaign Battlefields with three out of his seven Pen & Sword titles being guidebooks.
