Suffolk College Remembrance Parade
Author guest post from Mark Lewis.
On the 11th November, I attended Suffolk College Remembrance Parade to mark Armistice Day.
It was great to see 100s of keen students turn out and attend the parade. I also met up with two old mates and Falklands Veterans, Martin And Terry.
Martin (Ex Royal Navy and served on HMS Alacrity during the Falkland War) is now a College Lecturer did a great job at organising this event and enthused the Public Service course students to carry out an open order parade with about 8 students coming up to the podium and providing the Armistice day service.
Terry the other ex RM in the picture was in 40 Commando RM during the conflict and sailed down there with me on The Canberra.
Tea and cake afterwards and a number of ‘Dits’ (stories) told…….again!
A good day.
