Andrew Jackson was born in Middlesex and has always had a keen interest in history. He particularly studies everything pertaining to the Jacobite Rebellions, including the background to the conflicts and the subsequent wider historical ramifications.


He now lives in Dorset and has become a local historian, publishing seven books relating to Dorset history including ‘Once Upon a Time in the South West’, which details the events of the Monmouth Rebellion and the events and historical background leading up to the Jacobite Rebellions.
