In this section we have selected titles which we have published that are suitable for modellers.
Whether you are constructing models for wargaming purposes or for your own enjoyment, these titles can all help.
Most relevant are our Shipcraft, Flightcraft and Landcraft series which are specifically designed for modellers. In addition to these are our Images of War specials and Profile titles which combine many contemporary images with profiles.
Finally our Images of War series provides many original pictures of subject matter for those wishing to perfect the accuracy of their designs.
There are plenty of 1/35 kits already on the market and more small scale ones on the way. So the mix of detail on the real thing and available models will attract lots of modellers I am sure, with the Showcase examples set to inspire many who see them. Well over 4,000 have been built for US Army service, and it seems there will be plenty of years to come for service of the mix of variants.

As a military history enthusiast and a modeller, I have to admit that the Sdkfz 251, sometimes referred to as simply a 'Hanomag', has long been among my favourite modelling subjects. Despite that bias, I am confident in saying that this one really hits the spot with detailed coverage of these particular variants, and makes another useful addition to the modeller's bookcase.

All together a good reference to a vehicle which has been so well known, especially in British military services for over 70 years. Modellers and Land Rover enthusiasts should like this one, and so good to see it added to the LandCraft series with what I think is author Ben Skipper's first book.

Ship Dioramas
This book is about the art of displaying waterline models. By their very nature, ship models that do not show the full hull and are not mounted on an artificial stand cry out for a realistic setting. At its most basic this can be just a representation of the sea itself, but to give the model a context – even to tell some sort of story – is far… Read more...
