David Brian Lasher is a retired Navy commander who served for 28 years in the US Navy and Naval Reserves. He is also a retired high school social studies teacher, and he taught as an adjunct in political science at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. He has a degree in German and History from Allegheny College, and master’s degrees in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School and in Strategic Studies from the Army War College. He is the author of A Federalist Manifesto: How to Mend the Republic with a Convention of States. While studying in Bregenz, Austria in the 1980s, he was taught by Wolfram Redler and learned of his experiences as a prisoner of war.
