Martin Cross is an Olympic rowing champion, author, broadcaster and history teacher, with particular expertise in the First World War. His autobiography Olympic Obsession was published to critical acclaim in 2001. He has written for numerous journals and publication and was the rowing correspondent of the Guardian from 2001 until 2012. He runs a successful YouTube channel – Crossy’s Corner – which interviews the world’s leading rowers and coaches.
