The story of The Silver Spitfire’s remarkable round-the-world flight is told through the words and images of those who took part. The project was the inspiration of MATT JONES and STEVE BROOKS, both of whom piloted G-IRTY on the trip along with fellow aviator IAN SMITH MBE. GERRY JONES oversaw all the aircraft engineering aspects whilst LACHLAN MONRO was charged with the planning and organisation of the operation. Documenting the expedition from conception to completion was filmmaker and photographer BEN UTTLEY.
