Roger W Jordan began his career in shipping in 1960 with Clan Line and later joined Lloyd’s shipping publications as a sub-editor on Lloyd’s Confidential Index. He was editor of Lloyd’s Log for twelve years, and has been a frequent contributor to Sea Breezes and Ships Monthly and he is a member of the committee of the Maritime Information Association (MIA). His highly successful The World’s Merchant Fleets 1939 quickly sold through two editions.
