Now, at last, we have a true oral history of this aspect of North American life. Wendy Ward Roper has gone out and interviewed over 100 of the drivers of these vehicles. Using their own words, she is able to recreate a time past, the atmosphere, the emotions and above all, the drivers who filled these 2000 tracks six nights each week from the 1960s and those who continue to thrill their fans to the present.
