I have spent time reading excerpts from the book. There is a great deal of information in every aspect of enjoyment in the outdoors. The authors and contributors have made great efforts to consider people’s limited budgets. In short this book will not only give the reader confidence, but will continually assist them by referencing the incredible wealth of knowledge within.

The tips sprinkled throughout the book are a nice touch offering quite a few handy tips that will save time while the clear colour photos reinforce the information.

This is a great compilation of the gear needed for camping as well as tips for your trips out. I appreciated that the authors offered suggestions for tents and equipment at various price points, and didn’t make it seem like you have to go all out when you go camping. New and experienced campers will find something useful in this book.

This is an excellent guide to camping in UK or similar geographical area. If you want to travel to South Europe you need to take some other factors like water or heat into account.
As I was interesting in learning about UK this is an excellent guide and I learned a lot.
Highly recommended.
A Practical guide to Camping is a great handy guide book to all aspects of camping, from equipment and tents to safety and different types of camping. I didn't realise how many different types of camping there was! I'd never heard of bike camping and boat and board camping before reading this book. I enjoyed the tips and hacks ideas dotted through the book and especially enjoyed the family camping information as this is the area I am most interested in at the moment as I wish to take my child camping soon. This is a great book for newbies and more accomplished campers alike.

A Practical Guide to Camping is a helpful beginners guide to camping. It covers a variety of camping styles and gives tips for all price points. The authors discuss everything from basic essentials to more technical logistics.

The section I found most helpful is the part pertaining to family travel and important information about camping with children.
While the book talks predominately about camping and travel around the UK, many of the concepts and lists can be adapted to other countries. I am not based in the UK but there was quite a bit of information that I found usable.
If you are located in the UK or plan to travel there, there is a beneficial list of resources found at the back of the book.

If you are into camping this book has great places and ideas and information. Highly recommend.
This book has a lot of great information and tips for camping, whether you’re new to camping or you’re looking for some new tips. It’s applicable anywhere, but the brands and locations are British, so it’s more useful for camping there. The photos are great! They make me want to go camping in Europe!

I loved the great pictures on many of the pages. It makes you want to grab your gear and go! I camped a lot as a kid and am slowly getting back into it. Thanks for sparking my interest! I felt like this book was well written and did a good job telling about the various aspects of camping.
I like that you guys put in the checklist several apps that’ll help rescue or others in your party to locate you if you’re lost or in different areas. I also liked that you guys included disabled camping websites. Thank you!
I like the personalising tents; it’s definitely a good thing to stand out if you’re in a crowd. The tips and tricks boxes dispersed throughout the book was great. I like the food tips but do wish some recipes had been included. I also liked the various styles of camping that was included; not just one type.
