Excavations were carried out at the Median and Parthian site at Tepe Nush-i Jan in Western Iran in the 60s and 70s. This volume describes the small finds: notably a hoard of pendants, beads, rings, ingots and odd lumps of silver and other bits and pieces buried deliberately in a bronze bowl; discussion of the hoard suggest it was treasure of the temple. Other finds include whorls, sealings and various objects of bone, stone and faience.
