Martin Sorrell has a BA in French and Spanish from Oxford University and an MA in French from Kent University. He has spent his whole academic career at Exeter University, where he is Emeritus Professor of French & Translation Studies. Among his many publications, his translations of three French poets and one Spanish have appeared in Oxford World’s Classics. He has won two prizes in translation competitions, and has written radio plays and features for the BBC.
