Overall, this book is well researched, and it is an excellent reference book on the Nazi camps. It is based upon a huge amount of research, and it is presented in an excellent manner. Although the subject of these camps is macabre this book deals with it in a balanced manner. It is recommended that anyone who is interested in these camps from the historical angle, the administrative point of
view or for modern “tourism” should obtain a copy. It compares the “then and now” for the camps and it is the best volume on this albeit gruesome subject.
