It's rare that I read a book about video games and learn something new, but this one's exhaustive and insanely detailed list of everything and anything to do with Aliens games did just that. An absolutely fascinating read packed with anecdotes and details. A rollercoaster ride that takes in the highest of highs and the lowest of lows of a video game franchise filled with hits, misses, and infuriatingly wasted opportunities. If you want to know the hows and whys of Aliens video games, this is a must. A right riveting read, as they used to say.

[b]Rating[/b]: 5 out of 5 stars As a huge Pokémon fan who is always wanting to learn more about the franchise, I enjoyed reading The History of the Pokémon Games. It's easy to follow, going generation by generation, and gives a comprehensive history. What I enjoyed the most was learning about the more obscure games - those that were released only in one region. I also liked that there was a foreword by Veronica Taylor.
