Review by Roger BackhouseSociety of Model and Experimental Engineers
Written by a true enthusiast for enthusiasts... Although I am no car fan I enjoyed this book. To be recommended.
Lance Cole is a leading motoring and aviation writer, of which this book is a fine example of his work. The book contains firstly, advice on visiting museums and then goes onto list the many places up and down the UK to visit as a whole. Each museum is listed with address, telephone and a brief description of what to expect. Also included in the book are breakdowns of types of vehicle along with photographs both in colour and black and white, a thoroughly good guide and well worth the money in my opinion! The International Plastic Modellers’ Society, Keighley
An excellent guide to some 90 British museums and a further 390 worldwide, with descriptions and photographs, including a glossary of old car / motorcycle terms.West Somerset Railway Association
