"This is a fascinating book! I enjoyed it immensely. It is the best read I have had for some time. Despite the sheer amount of detail it is an easy read. The author clearly knows his stuff and explains it clearly. This reviewer now has a long list of films to watch or in many cases rewatch and they will be seen in a new light. For anyone with an interest in the war movies of the era or those of more recent times this is a must read but beware you too will be drawn to watch again those films you thought you knew so well. I have no hesitation in recommending this to the aficionado and the general reader alike."
